The goal of the Symposium is to present new and advanced CAD/CAM/CAE methods for digital product life cycle management and to demonstrate advanced industrial applications together with academic developments. The Symposium will also introduce the new Center for advancing these topics, to be established in cooperation between IBM/DS and the Technion.
The Symposium will be held on Wednesday June 26, 2002 between 8:45 and 17.15. The morning session will consist of invited lectures by internationally recognized experts in the field from industry and academia.The goal is to showcase research and development activities and technical achievements of active leading companies in the field. There will also be a demonstration of the CATIA software package that will emphasize its CAD capabilities. This session will be more technical in nature and will include CATIA users from Israel.
In the afternoon, selected companies will have the opportunity to make short technical presentations.
